The RTL race committee gathered for its first official meeting on 9 September, marking the starting line for RTL26 preparations. Of course, true to form, the team was already hard at work well before the meeting.
Key updates so far:
Chip timing has been booked to ensure accurate results for every runner.
Race licences are in process, keeping the event fully certified and recognised.
Food outlets are confirmed – with crowd favourites M&S Pizzas, Narrative Coffee, and Slice of Radnor set to keep everyone fuelled and happy.
Looking ahead, the committee has resolved to improve signage for car parks and to work closely with the local school and football club to maximise parking options. These changes mean we can now safely expand race capacity to 800 places for the 30k and 200 for the 10k – fantastic news for the growing RTL community.
Entry fees have been finalised at £30/£28 (affiliated) for the 30k and £15/£13 (affiliated) for the 10k, continuing our commitment to keeping the races accessible while supporting a high-quality event.
On the merchandise front, we’ve completely sold out – a great sign of support from runners and supporters alike! Rest assured, we’ll be restocking soon, and a fresh new T-shirt design is already in the works. Keep your eyes peeled for the reveal.
Finally, some big news: after eight incredible years leading the charge, Race Director Derek Price has announced that RTL26 will be his last in the role. While this marks the end of an era, Derek won’t be riding off into the sunset just yet – he’ll still be around, continuing to lend his knowledge and passion to the event he’s helped to shape.
Here’s to another exciting year on the road to RTL26!
